A ‘Facilitation’ may be a new term for some so it is basically gathering of students in a specific unit of study that is student-centred rather than teacher-driven. The teacher becomes the guide-on-the-side as the unit topic is processed, applied, questioned/challenged, and clarified.
These facilitations are open to other interested people not doing the course but have an interest or work in a similar area as part, or all of the unit. These might include chaplains, mental health workers, and special needs child educators, those living with mental health disorders…
Nightly schedule: 7.30-8.10 – Topic 1, 10min break, 8.20-9pm – Topic 2
The time allocated to each topic needs to be used effectively so being on time and staying on topic is essential.
Facilitations will be held upstairs at the SOTC Clubhouse. Unit 8, 161 Berkeley Rd, Berkeley.
Coffee/tea and biscuits will be provided and a box for gold coin donations will be available.
